When It Comes to Android Waterproof Phones, Are They Really Waterproof?

However, because your gadget is of ATM standard, it is a water resistant device — therefore you may select how deep you can go in the water based on the quality of its ATM. Another issue is that you are unable to hit a button while you are submerged in water.

The phone has an IP rating, which stands for Internet Protocol.
While there is currently no standard test for wearable gadgets, there is a standard test for smartphones that is water resistant. There is a rule in place for this test that says “of the International Electrotechnical Commission (International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)”. And this is the standard test procedure for International Protection (International Protection) or IP (International Protection) applications (IP). IP rating is often represented by a two-digit code.

For example, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Edge has an IP68 classification, which means it is water and dust resistant. In this case, the first of these two numerals refers to dust protection.
