Qualcomm QuickCharge 5 charges your device from 0 to 50% in 5 minutes!

Qualcomm is bringing Quickcharge 5 technology to the table. Specifically, Qualcomm claims that it will offer rapid charging up to 100 watts, which can charge a smartphone from 0 to 50 percent in only 5 minutes or from 0 to 100 percent in just 15 minutes.

It’s been several years since Qualcomm’s Quickcharge 4 or Quickcharge 4+ first appeared on the market. As stated by the business, the QuizCharge 5 technology will be their most significant commercial success to yet. QuickCharge 4+ is capable of rapid charging at a rate of up to 30 watts maximum. However, their Quickcharge 5 will significantly enhance it by around 60% this time. As well as providing quick charging, it will also keep the smartphone’s temperature below 10 degrees Celsius, which is quite fantastic!

Instead, Quick Charge 5 is based on the existing USB Power Delivery Programmable Power Supply (PD-PPS) standard (which is a subset of the larger USB-C PD area), which provides for more control over voltage and current levels throughout the charging process.

With this approach, the advantage is that Quick Charge 5 is theoretically universal: any USB PD-PPS charger will be able to charge your Quick Charge 5 device at its maximum speed.

Another significant difference is that Quick Charge 5 now supports the 2S battery system, which is comprised of two wired battery cells connected in series to double the charging voltage, as opposed to the previous version. Instead, it has the capability of increasing the charging pace.

It has the capability of charging in reverse. Older Quick Charge gadgets and devices will continue to operate with the new Quick Charge 5 enabled hardware, to the extent that these chargers are capable of delivering the necessary power. (On the other hand, USB-C PD devices and iPhones will only be able to take advantage of rapid charging when using USB PD-based Quick Charge 4 or higher.)

Everyone will get the greatest benefits as a result of this. Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 5 technology is included in the company’s total package. Currently, Qualcomm is one of the largest processor, modem, and power supply firms in the world.
